Cubano Sandwich




Sliced Maple Honey Ham
Swiss Cheese Slices
Kalua Pork
Chip-Cut Dill Pickles
Honey Mustard Garlic Dipping Sauce
Sliced Ciabatta Rolls

Break up ½ the pork into bite-size pieces, discarding banana leaf (save remaining for lunch tomorrow); heat a skillet over med-high + sear pieces 3-4 min, turning half-way through until meat is crisped + hot

Spread mustard onto 2 ciabatta rolls, add 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of cheese, a layer of crispy pork + a layer of pickles to each (reserve pickle juice!)

Heat a lightly oiled (or buttered) skillet over med/low; add sandwiches, press down with a spatula + cover with a lid, heat 3-5 min until starting to melt, flip, press + cover, heat 2-3 min more; uncover, press down again + drizzle pickle juice over the sandwiches cook 1-2 min more until crispy + cheese starts to caramelize on the edges of the sandwiches
